This is the studio of illustrator Julia Rothman and her husband, filmmaker Jan Oliver Lucks. But it is also a place for all of us - to be creative, meet other fun people, draw, dance, talk, experiment. The space is located at 543 Union St at Nevins in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

Join us for the next edition of Seen Here, a live drawing event that celebrates unexpected subjects.
This session features Mariachi Hidalgo NYC. As the band performs for us participants will have the rare opportunity to sketch the scene in real time, capturing the traje de charro, which is the traditional outfit, and the lively performance. Between songs and solos, our host Joshua David Stein will interview the subjects about their craft, their audiences, and how they became musicians.
